Introduction to Research Paper
Puerto Rico has been one of the most competitive and dynamic economies in Latin America. Until recently, their economy heavily relies on United States government aid. With their GDP per capita expectancy running at 28,000 USD by the end of this quarter and the poverty line being higher than the national average in the U.S at 14%. It can be safe to say that this impact on their commonwealth status has taken a toll on their economic growth. Puerto Rico’s gross national income is considered when calculating U.S growth, however, the United States officials have not found a valid responsibility or confirmed plan of action to improve our fellow U.S territory. Many factors go into how this is affecting the island but have the officials yet considered whether a prescribed plan can help our nation?
