About Puerto Rico



        Puerto Rico is a northeastern Caribbean island that is considered  U.S territory although they run their own government independently. It's capital being San Juan home of their beautiful waterfalls, and mountain regions. The land in its entirety runs 100 miles long and 35 miles wide being the smallest island in the Greater Antilles. It was originally inhabited by Taino Indians who called the land "Borinque" meaning the land of the lords. It was up until November 19th of 1493 where Christopher Columbus went on his second voyage with Spain and colonized the land now known as Puerto Rico meaning "Rich Port" in Spanish.

How to get to...
Flights may vary but a trip to San Juan nonstop, roundtrip can vary from $197-$380 depending on which Airline you may take. Considering Puerto Rico is U.S territory they also use the U.S dollar as their currency meaning you do not require a passport to travel to this beautiful island.

Where to go and What to do...
There are many outside excursions to discover here such as walking through the colorful streets of Old San Juan, the spectacular El Yunque rainforest, or even take a walk through history and visit El Morro and see some of their oldest fortresses still standing. If that's not enough adventure for you sit down and wine and dine at some of their restaurants by the beach serving their authentic cuisine.
